INTRODUCTION

Living Waratah synergy is "If not us, who? And if not now, when?".

Waratah's Aboriginal name comes from its vibrant, red colouring. There are several Dreamings about the Waratah, one going back to the days of volcanoes! It comes from the Aboriginal term meaning; a tree with red flowers. Its botanical name is Telopea from the Greek, which means "stands out from a distance". For the Eora people (Sydney) means "beautiful".

In lutruwita - Tasmania, Waratah is iconic (not an emblem like in NSW), but it's admired in the wild, in gardens, on car stickers, and even on body tattoos.

At Living Waratah we recognise our past mistakes from disconnection from nature. We encourage renewed strength and ability for a more beautiful and sweet future for all.
